Upper gate drive output
Connect to high side N-channel power MOSFET gate.
BOOT O
Analog
Floating bootstrap supply pin for upper gate drive
Connect the bootstrap capacitor1 between this pin and the
PHASE pin. The bootstrap capacitor provides the charge to
turn on the upper MOSFET. See the Internal Bootstrap
Device section herein for guidance in choosing the
capacitance value.
THW# O
Analog
Open drain output
Connect this pin to 3.3V through a resistor2. Once the
thermal protection threshold is tripped, the THW# pin is
pulled down. Leave open if not used.
PWM I
LGATE O
3.3V Logic
Analog
PWM drive logic input
Connect this pin to the PWM out from the controller IC.
Lower gate drive output
Connect to low side N-channel power MOSFET gate.
RT O
Analog
Thermal warning threshold selection pin
Connect this pin to an external resistance2 to GND. Used
to set the thermal warning threshold. If not used it can be
left floating.
PHASE I
Analog
Return path for high side MOSFET driver
Connect this pin to the source of the upper MOSFET and
the drain of the lower MOSFET. This pin provides a return
path for the upper gate drive.
